Then Job answered the Lord and said, "I know that You can do all things, And that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted." (Job 42:1, 2)
As Job learned, it is foolish to question God's
sovereignty or underestimate his omnipotence. What may seem completely impossible to us, is never impossible for God; "For nothing will be impossible for God."(Luke 1:37)
God created everything out of nothing. Impossible? Noah never experienced rain, let alone a worldwide flood. Impossible? Abraham and his wife, Sarah, were way past child-bearing age; So Sarah conceived and bore a son to Abraham in his old age. (Genesis 21:2) Impossible? Pharaoh will never let God's people go. Impossible? Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego walked around in the midst of the burning furnace without harm. Impossible?Jonah spent three days in the stomach of a big fish. Impossible? The virgin, Mary, bore a Son. Impossible? Jesus turned water into wine, walked on water, healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, raised the dead. He was crucified, buried, resurrected and ascended into heaven. Impossible?
Whatever impossible thing you are praying for today, don't lose heart. Remember that nothing will be impossible for God. Maranatha!
