George grew-up in Lincoln, Nebraska, graduating from Lincoln Southeast High school and attending the University of Nebraska. Throughout his business career he was a "serial" entrepreneur, starting and managing numerous distribution, marketing, financial and health care business ventures. George was also the Director of Group Underwriting with Bankers Life Nebraska, Vice-President of the Gallup Organization and the SRI Research Center and a Board Member of the Home School Legal Defense Association.
George and Linda (Hart) were married in 1966. They have two daughters and three grand daughters. In 1990, the Stroh family moved from Nebraska to Arizona.
In August of 1975, George and Linda were invited to Indian Hills Community Church, a non-denominational, Bible teaching Church in Lincoln where they heard the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Lord, in His marvelous grace, mercy and love, opened the spiritual eyes of both George and Linda who believed the gospel and were saved.
George was an Elder at Indian Hills Community Church and has been studying and teaching the Bible for over 33 years. In 2009, he planted Maranatha Bible Church where he currently serves as Senior Pastor. His teaching ministry is the systematic, verse-by-verse exposition of the Word of God.
